Maureen Dorans

Maureen is a highly experienced Programme Director with nearly 40 years of IT experience.

Maureen spent more than twenty years working with Inland Revenue, before transitioning to EDS (Electronic Data Systems) in January 1996. Throughout her career Maureen demonstrated proficiency in leadership and management. She was promoted to a senior management role in EDS, overseeing a team of more than 4,000 people, a testament to the hard work, drive and determination she applied to her career.

Career Summary

Maureen started work as a Clerical Officer in Inland Revenue in 1972 and progressed to Collector of Taxes in Glasgow before transferring to the IT Department working as a system tester, developer, configuration manager and finally settling in Project Management.

During her career she has taken on numerous leadership and management roles which resulted in her appointment as DWP Solution Centre Manager with responsibility for approx. 1200 staff and then being appointed as EMEA Director of Applications in 2004 where she was responsible for approx. 4000 IT professionals delivering major projects and programmes across Europe, Asia and Middle East.

Maureen retired in April 2013, following a successful tenure with the Fujitsu organisation in the U.K. Maureen joined Fujitsu in 2006, working on a number of key programmes and serving as a mentor and role model for graduates joining the organisation.
